I have used Microsoft paint and i learned how to change the color in Microsoft paint which is by clicking on the color you want and then click the paint bucket.Then you click the background and then it paints if for you.

To make your box transparent you click on the shapes that are not fully filled in then you make the shape you want and then you just chose a color and then you click inside the box and then your box is transparent but filled with color.

You can change the text size by going on the edit button on the top of the screen. Then you just click on text toolbar that will pop up . Then after that you can change the font size and then it will also show the letter A with a color line under it and the you just click on that then you chose a different text color and that's all you do.

You need to make sure you are 100% accurate because then if you don't type the right thing then when you click out of the box you cant go and type inside any more because then it makes little box's that you cant delete.
